OPENING NIGHT 2014
What a night! The band was great. Crowds were enormous, as food trays weaved in and out and around the grounds. And the art, that's what the night was all about!!!

FESTIVAL IS ABOUT TO OPEN!
It is always fun to see the Festival ground's gradual transformation from winter calm to summer excitement. Here is my BOOTH 137, in the middle, just beyond the information wall as you enter the main gate. You'll see my name on the beige wall. I will be showing a new series of paintings titled, COMMUNITY. Can't wait to show you!
This is Victor, the best booth-construction-builder ever. He's putting finishing touches on the storage closet. Below are a couple of small paintings I'll be hanging on that narrow door. You are the first to see!

Two Openings Last Week
Laguna Beach City Hall hosted the Art-To-Go fundraiser exhibition to help artists in need. Donations of art were generously shared by Festival of Arts artists for this long-standing tradition. Here is my addition to the outstanding selection available for purchase during the summer Festival.

I am proud to have been juried into the
National Watercolor Society 2014 All Member Exhibition.
The juror chose eighty water media paintings from several hundred applications to be on display at the NWS Gallery in San Pedro, CA until Aug 17. Saturday's opening reception was a beautiful display of inventive and masterfully executed works on paper.

INSPIRED BY SOUTHWEST LANDSCAPES
The first Art Walk of Spring in Laguna Beach was fabulous. Crowds filled the Skylight Room at Sandstone Gallery anxious to talk about my abstracted landscapes on canvas. I love answering questions about my inspiration, materials, colors, travel, and, yes, even my framer! All of this inquiring means visitors are really looking. And, you must look very closely
to see all the detail hidden in these imagined narratives.

APRIL EXHIBITION IN LAGUNA

I have been consumed with painting a new body of mixed media works on paper. The theme of these paintings revolves around the idea of community, its structures, people, and colorful passages.
