Grand Teton National Park in June

LynnWelker.com

On the way to Jackson, WY, gazing at the Grand Teton mountain peak soaring to 13,770 feet, I couldn't resist recording the rich splendor of the valley for a future painting. The water at the edge of Jackson Lake was covered in chunky ice after an unusually harsh winter. Herds of bison with their new-born calves grazed in open areas throughout the park.
